Web Development at Dallas College

At Dallas College, we are constantly updating the courses and skills taught to keep pace with this rapidly evolving field to ensure our students have the skills most in demand from industry.

Students begin by learning basic and advanced page design and digital imaging techniques, then progress to more advanced skills such as client and server programming for form validation, user interaction and database driven websites. Students will learn skills for problem solving and working within groups.

Getting started is quick and easy. Our experienced faculty and staff are here to help you be successful in this exciting field. We offer a two-year Associate of Applied Sciences (AAS) degree as well as shorter two or three semester certificates which you can earn on your way to the full AAS degree.

Web Design Occupational Skills Award

The Web Design Occupational Skills Award is for students who wish to learn the essentials of Web Design and Programming. Tools usage and digital imaging techniques are introduced.

ITSE 1311 - Beginning Web Programming

Semester Total: 3 Credit Hours

Web Development Certificate

The Web Development Certificate curriculum is designed to provide the skills necessary for an entry-level position as a Web Developer. Emphasis is upon the technical development of websites including networking, database concepts and web authoring using programming languages and software to produce interactive, and dynamic websites and web applications.

Web Developer Certificate for intermediate web developers.
